Who can play golf?

All ages from 5-18 years old

LEVEL 1 - EXPOSURE

  1.  Golfers should be between 5 - 12 years old.

  2.  Each golfer may have his or her own golf clubs but is not required.

  3.  Each golfer will receive a basic knowledge of how to hit a golf ball and learn to play golf while developing athletically.

  4.  Each golfer may be accompanied by a parent or guardian to help learn the basics and ideas on how to train as a family.

  5.  Each golfer should arrive at least ten minutes before the designated start time.

  6.  There is no need to qualify for this golf program.

LEVEL 2 - TEAM SCRAMBLE

  1.  Golfers should be between 6 - 18 years old.

  2.  Each golfer should have his or her own golf clubs.

  3.  Each golfer should have a basic knowledge of how to play a round of golf with a desire to learn more about the rules of the game as well as develop skills to improve as a golfer.

  4.  Each golfer may be accompanied by a parent or guardian to help with scoring, shuttles, rules questions, etc.

  5.  Each golfer should arrive one-half hour before the designated start time and develop a warm-up routine.

  6.  There is no need to qualify for this golf program.

LEVEL 3 - INDIVIDUAL

  1.  Golfers should be between 7 - 18 years old (age division based on age as of June 17, 2024). Exceptions may be made for highly skilled players younger than seven or graduating seniors.

  2.  Each golfer must have his or her own golf clubs.

  3.  Each golfer should feel comfortable playing a round of golf and be reasonably familiar with the rules of golf without any parental aid (swing, rules, etc.)

  4.  We've decided to eliminate qualification events for this year, and instead allow players/parents to determine the best division for their golfer with the understanding that we have the flexibility to move the golfer up or down based on how their golf season is progressing.

  5. As a rule of thumb, competitive-level golf divisions often shoot in the 90s or better for 18 holes of golf from age-appropriate yardage.
